Marlay Park | Tricia & Maurice

There is nothing quite as invigorating as a stroll on a crispy autumn day with beautiful light and stunning colours. Both Tricia and Maurice asked if they could do an engagement shoot before their big day. They were curious and a little apprehensive as to how the photography would work on the day and also were concerned about how they should act, which I guess is a common feeling for a lot of couples. I can't count the amount of times I have heard the line "I am not photogenic" or "I hate having my picture taken". I think most of us feel this way and I know I certainly prefer to be behind the camera!

We met in Marlay Park and as we walked along we talked about quite a few different things including plans for the wedding in Coolbawn Quay. One of the most, in fact the most important part of my job is to make my subjects feel relaxed and gain their confidence which in turn lets them be themselves. This is when the magic happens and those natural moment start to appear.

The best advice I can give couples who are a little apprehensive about their photography is to not over think it have a bit of fun be a bit silly and most of all enjoy it!
